How much money can I get from Point?
Point buys fractional home interests in homeowner's properties. Typically, the maximum amount you can receive from Point for any one property is the lesser of a) $200,000, b) 15% of the property's value, or c) 30% of the equity.
The amount of money that you receive may be limited by the amount of equity you have in your home. After Point funding, your equity should still be at least 20% of the home's value. In certain cases, like when your property is a condo or you already have a second lien, we will require you own additional equity.
