What happens if my property has unpermitted work?

Unpermitted work doesn't add to the valuation and may impact the offer with:

  • A lower appraised value

  • A cost-to-cure reduction

  • Ineligibility if essential systems—such as a functioning kitchen or bathroom—are missing or unusable

If major unpermitted work affects safety, habitability, or access, the property may not qualify until the issue is resolved or documented.
