How do home improvements affect the HEI pricing?

Your offer details depend on a number of factors including your credit profile, property characteristics, home valuation, available equity, and amount requested.

The appraised home value is based solely on the property’s condition at the time of inspection and past improvements may impact that value. Homes that are in renovation and have exposed studs in above grade areas are not eligible for our HEI.

If you are in the middle of renovation and planning upgrades with the HEI funds, those future improvements will not be considered during the inspection.
