What is required at my appraisal?

Point requires an internal inspection of the property, during which a third-party appraiser or agent will take photos of your home. You may be eligible for a hybrid AVM valuation in which you complete the inspection virtually with our appraisal partner on the phone.

Regardless of method, the inspector will need access to the entire property, including all rooms, basements, storage areas, garages, ADUs, barns, etc. If the inspector arrives and isn't allowed entry or if all parts of the property aren't covered, another appraisal will be required, and the appraisal fee will increase to cover the second appraisal.
