Here are a few simple steps to help you prepare:

• Ensure the appraiser can easily access all areas, including basement, attic, garage, and exterior spaces.

• For multi-family homes, make sure all units are unlocked and accessible during the visit.

• Clean and declutter the home to highlight your property’s condition and care.

• Complete small repairs (e.g., leaky faucets, scuffed walls) before the visit.

• Secure pets during the visit for everyone’s safety and comfort.

• Have permits/docs for recent renovations ready if you’ve recently completed renovations.
