How can I show that an NOC (Notice of Commencement) or mechanic's lien has been removed?

To show that a Notice of Commencement or mechanic's lien has been cleared, you’ll need both of the following documents:

  • Notice of Termination – Confirms the construction project is complete and the Notice of .Commencement is no longer active.

  • Contractor’s Final Payment Affidavit – Confirms the contractor has been paid in full.

What you should do:

  • Contact the contractor or construction company that completed the work

  • Request copies of both documents

  • Make sure the documents are recorded with your county so they appear on your title report

  • Share copies of the recorded documents with Point

Once these are received, our team can confirm the lien has been removed and move your application forward.
