When I sell the house, how does Point’s lien come off?
When you sell your home, your subservicer will take care of removing Point’s lien.
Here’s how it works:
- The title company contacts Point (or your assigned subservicer) to request a payoff amount
- We provide the amount owed
- The title company pays Point from the sale proceeds at closing
- Your subservicer then files the paperwork to release the lien, and a satisfaction is recorded with the county
You don’t need to take any extra action—this is a standard part of the home sale process, and the title company coordinates it directly with us.
